
Technical Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Propel the success of product plan objectives through technical proficiency in client services, training, and solution design.
• Enhance product sales by identifying and utilizing opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Serve as an advocate for product specifications at architectural firms, engineering firms, and departments of transportation (DOTs).
• Cultivate relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, and specifiers.
• Provide technically accurate presentations and conduct lunch-and-learns.
• Guide customers and specifiers on product selection, application techniques, and compliance standards.
• Stay informed on regional construction trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies.
• Monitor competitor products and market trends to shape sales strategies and product positioning.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Inventory Planning, and R&D on field feedback and promotional initiatives.
• Ensure products are specified and utilized in critical projects from planning through execution.
• Align new product launches with customer requirements and promote early adoption.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, making decisions amid uncertainty.
• Independently execute assignments and develop innovative solutions.
• May supervise the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating work.
• Contribute to the professional development of employees without having hiring or firing authority.
• Generally requires a BS/BA in a related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or an MS/MA with 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• Certification is mandatory in certain areas.
• A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Skilled in performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and other metrics.
• Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts is necessary.
• Typically requires overnight travel exceeding 50% of the time.
