
Technical Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with marine customers, applicators, shipyards, vessel owners, and other stakeholders.
β’ Recognize, cultivate, and convert sales opportunities to meet revenue, margin, and market share objectives.
β’ Advise on technically and commercially suitable marine coating systems.
β’ Offer technical assistance regarding product selection, surface preparation, coating application, inspection, and service.
β’ Aid customers in enhancing coating performance, application efficiency, asset protection, and lifecycle costs.
β’ Draft quotations, proposals, specifications, and commercial recommendations.
β’ Track customer requirements, market dynamics, competitor activities, and project possibilities.
β’ Work collaboratively with internal sales, technical, operations, and supply teams.
β’ Address technical and commercial issues faced by customers.
β’ Maintain precise sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, customer records, and activity reports.
β’ Ensure adherence to HSE, quality, technical, and commercial policies.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
β’ Prior experience in marine coatings, protective coatings, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
β’ NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 1 certification is desirable but not essential.
β’ Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
β’ A commercially oriented mindset with the ability to identify and nurture new business opportunities.
β’ Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting while adhering to company policies and delegated authority.
β’ Eagerness and capability to develop a robust technical understanding of marine coating systems and applications.
β’ Valid legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites, shipyards, and project locations as necessary.
β’ Physical ability to safely perform inspection tasks in dry-dock and shipyard settings, including vessel access, climbing ladders and stairs, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces while using required PPE.
