Technical Report Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create three technical reports utilizing engineering data and insights from subject-matter experts.

• Generate Safety Assessment and Health Hazard Assessment documentation as necessary.

• Convert intricate engineering details into clear and organized reports.

• Adhere to Army/DoD specifications, guidelines, templates, and examples.

• Work in collaboration with mechanical engineers to collect and clarify technical data.

• Evaluate and modify relevant existing documentation.

• Integrate customer and government feedback into revisions and final outputs.

• Potentially assist with technical manuals, training materials, and associated documentation.

• Track time and progress effectively while managing tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in professional technical writing.

• Background in government or defense-contract documentation.

• Strong preference for candidates with U.S. Army technical writing experience.

• Highly preferred experience with Safety Assessment Reports, Health Hazard Assessment Reports, and/or Level of Repair Analysis Reports.

• Ability to distill engineering data and subject-matter expert contributions into polished documentation.

• Familiarity with government requirements, templates, forms, and examples.

• Excellent technical editing skills, organizational capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with engineers while also working independently.

• Adaptability to manage fluctuating workloads and urgent deadlines.

• Experience with technical manuals and training materials is a plus.

• Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive materials.

• Ability to uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and project specifications when utilizing AI-assisted workflows.
