iGaming Web Content Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and compose blog articles on topics related to casinos and iGaming.

• Generate a consistent output of SEO-focused content that supports BetMGM’s organic search strategy and overall content objectives.

• Write and publish at least 20 comprehensive blog articles each month.

• Create shorter pieces that target specific user search queries or provide timely updates on BetMGM and MGM Resorts casino events.

• Develop keyword-centric page copy.

• Contribute to unique digital content projects, such as video scripts, interactive tools, and similar initiatives.

• Formulate strategic content plans around the launch of premium casino games.

• Engage in strategic planning to enhance existing content and promote key company initiatives.

• Address copy requests from various internal teams or external partners, including CRM and partnerships.

• Collaborate with the social media team to leverage trending or popular content.

• Work alongside the SEO Analyst to optimize new or existing blog articles, thereby maximizing organic visibility.

• Coordinate with external partners, such as TMI, on significant content development projects.

• Identify topics for casino digital PR-led initiatives.

• Support operational tasks, including data entry, sourcing images, editing, and preparing presentation decks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in a professional role that involves writing high-quality content within the gaming industry, particularly in the Casino or iGaming sector, is essential.

• Expertise in the U.S. online casino market is preferred.

• A background in journalism, English, or a related field is required.

• Proficiency in the AP Stylebook is necessary.

• At least three years of experience with publishing in WordPress is required.

• A basic to intermediate understanding of SEO, including keyword research, optimization, and internal linking practices, is preferred.

• Experience in large organizations, coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders, is beneficial.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively manage project timelines and priorities across various internal teams are required.

• Experience in public speaking, both online and in-person, is necessary.

• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics is preferred.

• Strong skills in communication, analytics, project management, writing, copywriting, article ideation, and organization are needed.

• Excellent analytical, proactive, and communication skills with a data-driven approach are crucial.

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and a desire for continuous professional development is required.

• Willingness to learn and/or familiarity with AI tools and platforms is a plus.

• Basic photo editing skills using tools such as BeFunky and/or Photoshop are advantageous.

• Must have legal authorization to work for the company in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship.

• Compliance with applicable gaming licensing requirements and responsible gambling policies is necessary.

• Ability to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods is required.
