Technical Project Lead – Data and Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives involving data and AI that are client-facing from the discovery phase to delivery.

• Oversee project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and potential risks.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to cross-functional project teams.

• Foster client relationships, comprehend business objectives, facilitate discussions, and offer strategic advice.

• Elicit, evaluate, and clarify business requirements through stakeholder interviews, process assessments, and analysis.

• Establish project goals and solution requirements.

• Convert business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

• Supervise the design and delivery of solutions.

• Coordinate data integration from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for reporting.

• Direct the development of dashboards and reports that align with client reporting requirements.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer, user training, and ongoing support for clients.

• Review deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and quality assurance.

• Stay updated on trends in data, analytics, and the Microsoft ecosystem to enhance delivery and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, including projects utilizing the Microsoft Data stack and Power BI.

• A proven history of successfully leading projects to completion.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing project teams.

• Experience in translating business requirements into actionable project plans.

• Proficiency in data analysis, SQL database queries, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Solid understanding of business processes, project management, and IT methodologies, including Agile.

• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Capacity to remain informed on industry trends and apply insights to enhance project outcomes.

• Project management certifications like PMP, CAPM, or CSM are preferred.

• Certifications in Microsoft or data analytics, especially in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or related technologies, are highly desired.

• Experience in consulting or client-facing analytics delivery is preferred.
