IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple simultaneous enterprise software implementations and upgrades from initiation to acceptance and transition to support.

• Take ownership of project plans, timelines, budgets, forecasts, resources, milestones, dependencies, and delivery reporting.

• Ensure requirements traceability, enforce SOW and change control, and manage margins and invoicing.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and lead status meetings, working sessions, steering committees, demonstrations, and executive communications.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams across analysis, configuration, development, integrations, migration, testing, training, deployment, and support.

• Manage risks, issues, decisions, actions, acceptance, document control, delivery quality, and corrective actions.

• Lead readiness, testing, training, go-live, stabilization, stakeholder communications, adoption, and organizational change initiatives.

• Utilize approved AI and automation tools to enhance planning, reporting, meeting follow-ups, risk analysis, documentation, and delivery efficiency.

• Document lessons learned to refine delivery methods, templates, estimates, metrics, and portfolio visibility.

• Deliver projects with clear governance, reliable forecasts, disciplined scope control, timely risk escalation, transparent communication, contractual alignment, and enhanced AI-assisted workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, information systems, organizational management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of project management experience leading enterprise software, SaaS, web, or systems implementations.

• Proven track record of managing complex implementation projects valued between $1M and $5M.

• Advanced skills in scope management, including requirements baselining, traceability, impact assessment, SOW alignment, change control, and preventing scope creep.

• Experience in managing fixed-price projects, budgets, forecasts, margins, milestone invoicing, risks, and contract deliverables.

• Background in leading training, adoption, and organizational change for enterprise implementations.

• Experience managing onsite, remote, and offshore software development and implementation teams across various time zones.

• Strong capabilities in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Advanced skills in stakeholder management.

• Proficiency in AI-enabled productivity and project management tools.

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methodologies.

• Excellent client-facing, executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and organizational abilities.

• PMP certification.

• Preferred: experience with government, transportation, transit, infrastructure, right-of-way, permitting, utilities, asset management, cloud-hosted SaaS, Azure, APIs, integrations, GIS/Esri, data migration, analytics, mobile applications, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, program management, PMO development, portfolio reporting, mentoring, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or other comparable Agile certifications.
