Technical Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• The Technical Product Owner collaborates with technical product managers and engineering teams to convert business product strategy into technical execution.

• Independently crafts user stories utilizing the Given-When-Then (Gherkin) format and systematically applies AI tools to expedite delivery.

• Mentors colleagues on effective AI-enhanced practices.

• Exhibit strong AI fluency by leveraging AI assistants daily for tasks such as code generation, test creation, documentation, and learning.

• Systematically utilize AI tools to enhance engineering efforts.

• Review and validate AI-generated outputs prior to incorporating them into deliverables.

• Collaborate with technical product managers and business stakeholders for requirements gathering and analysis.

• Establish acceptance criteria that encompass happy paths, common edge cases, and error conditions.

• Clearly document dependencies, integration points, and validation rules for development teams.

• Assist in user research and product validation activities.

• Monitor product metrics and facilitate data-driven product decisions.

• Engage in and contribute to requirements discovery sessions with business stakeholders.

• Communicate sprint updates, story statuses, and delivery risks to pertinent stakeholders.

• Foster effective working relationships across business and engineering teams.

• Offer guidance to Associate TPOs on GWT story writing, best practices for requirements, and agile delivery.

• Actively participate in communities of practice for product owners.

• Contribute to team templates, standards, and shared documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a business analyst or product analyst.

• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

• Proficient understanding of Given-When-Then (Gherkin) story writing and agile delivery methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar.

• CSPO or equivalent agile certification.
