This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide the team with comprehensive technical requirements via a product backlog
• Deliver products in alignment with Civica’s strategic roadmaps
• Work in partnership with engineering teams to ensure that technical solutions satisfy product specifications
• Offer technical guidance and oversight for solutions that are feasible, scalable, maintainable, and of high quality
• Oversee product backlogs and translate requirements into user stories complete with acceptance criteria
• Engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Address and resolve product-related issues while coordinating bug fixes
• Communicate with stakeholders to set and manage expectations
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to make trade-off decisions
• Work alongside engineering, design, marketing, commercial, and customer success teams
• Analyze data and metrics to guide product decisions and assess performance
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain documentation for product decisions and design
• Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager within a contemporary software or product organization
• Demonstrated capability to create and manage backlogs, as well as write clear user stories with acceptance criteria
• Ability to prioritize features, requirements, and tasks based on customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility
• Strong technical foundation with experience in software development
• Competency in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• Insight into customer needs, pain points, and motivations
• Strong analytical skills for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data
• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Understanding of programming concepts including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Knowledge of technical architecture, system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience working with engineering, commercial teams, and senior management
• Proven experience leading geographically distributed teams
• Background in market research, competitive analysis, and market trend analysis
• Familiarity with UX design principles and human-centered design methodologies
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies
