This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for third-party integrations, API/SDK development, and technical partnerships, ensuring alignment with overarching product and company objectives.
• Manage payment gateway integrations from start to finish, covering scoping, rollout, merchant onboarding processes, and continuous optimization.
• Serve as the internal point of contact for questions related to the transaction lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering to define and prioritize integration tasks.
• Collect technical requirements from partners and clients for new integrations and improvements.
• Cultivate relationships with third-party vendors, payment processors, and platform partners.
• Assess potential new partners and explore emerging integration opportunities.
• Supervise the upkeep and enhancement of developer-facing APIs and SDKs for performance, scalability, and developer satisfaction.
• Design and implement pilot and beta programs for new integrations and partner launches.
• Collect structured feedback and make iterative improvements before general availability.
• Act as the internal expert on integration capabilities and limitations.
• Provide support to sales, support, and implementation teams.
• Convey technical requirements, trade-offs, and project updates to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering to investigate and resolve complex integration challenges.
• Work with marketing to accurately represent integrations and technical products in external communications and release documentation.
• Monitor integration adoption, API reliability, and partner performance metrics.
• Prioritize enhancements based on their business impact.
• 3–5 years of experience as a technical product manager or product manager overseeing software integrations, APIs, or developer platform products.
• Direct hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe, Moneris, Square, Global Payments, or Adyen.
• Familiarity with transaction lifecycles, refunds, disputes, and merchant onboarding processes.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, SDKs, and authentication methodologies.
• Ability to independently read and evaluate third-party developer documentation.
• Capability to scope and deliver technical work alongside engineering teams from requirements to release.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, tokenization, and data security considerations in payment workflows.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in translating technical details for non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in managing multiple concurrent integration workstreams and setting effective priorities.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Willingness to maintain consistent availability during Eastern Time business hours.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a remote work environment, including asynchronous written communication with engineering and external partners.
