This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and refine the product strategy for designated Commerce Platform functionalities.
• Convert customer, business, and commercial requirements into scalable technical products and platform features.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to define platform strategy and address constraints, trade-offs, and long-term risks.
• Balance immediate needs with foundational platform investments, ensuring technical health, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle from discovery and strategy to implementation, launch, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.
• Convert product strategy into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
• Manage the product backlog, inclusive of epics, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritization.
• Make decisions regarding prioritization and trade-offs across scope, value, cost, complexity, risk, and time to market.
• Monitor post-launch outcomes, adoption rates, operational data, and feedback from partners.
• Advance Commerce Platform functionalities towards modular, scalable, and reusable services.
• Advocate for API-first, domain-driven, and event-driven methodologies.
• Establish contracts and interfaces between platform functionalities and their consumers.
• Facilitate the transition from legacy commerce functionalities to next-generation services.
• Manage dependencies across upstream and downstream systems, consumers, and teams.
• Consider the wider commerce ecosystem, including product information, inventory, order management, identity, payments, fraud, pricing and promotions, search, analytics, and customer data.
• Build consensus among partners and communicate strategy, roadmap, priorities, decisions, risks, and outcomes.
• Represent Commerce Platform functionalities in high-level planning and roadmap discussions.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners.
• Define measurable outcomes and KPIs for adoption, reliability, performance, operational efficiency, developer experience, and growth.
• Utilize product, operational, and engineering data to guide prioritization and investment choices.
• Assess industry trends, technologies, and commerce platform functionalities.
• Investigate automation and AI opportunities to enhance platform capabilities, discovery, productivity, documentation, and operations.
• Establish a clear roadmap and assist in evolving the platform towards more distinct domain boundaries and a modular, scalable architecture.
• 8+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Management for technical platforms, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing product strategies and roadmaps for intricate technical products or platform functionalities.
• Technical fluency and capability to engage in architecture and system design discussions.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and contemporary platform architectures.
• Ability to comprehend complex systems and identify upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Proven track record of translating ambiguous business and technical challenges into product strategies, requirements, roadmaps, and executable backlogs.
• Experience leveraging data to inform product decisions and assess outcomes.
• Ability to influence multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
• Proficient in communicating complex technical concepts and trade-offs to senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience developing technical products or platform capabilities within digital commerce, retail, or other large-scale transactional ecosystems.
• Background in commerce platform modernization, migration, or replatforming initiatives.
• Familiarity with SAP Commerce (Hybris), SCAYLE, or other headless or composable commerce platforms.
• Experience with domain-driven design, API-first platforms, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns.
• Understanding of commerce domains such as product information, inventory, cart, checkout, payments, fraud, promotions, identity, search, order management, and analytics.
• Experience developing platforms or services utilized by multiple products, channels, markets, or engineering teams.
• Experience in global environments with distributed engineering and product teams.
• Proven ability to manage strategic relationships with technology vendors and external partners.
• Experience utilizing AI and automation to enhance product management, engineering efficiency, or platform operations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
