This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with sales, marketing, account management, and project management departments.
• Foster and enhance a positive team culture.
• Offer strategic guidance, leadership, and oversight of technical services.
• Develop and oversee team budgets, encompassing revenue, profitability, and indirect expenses.
• Mentor, train, and nurture engineering technical staff.
• Facilitate 1:1 meetings, career development dialogues, succession planning, quarterly reviews, promotions, retention initiatives, and engagement surveys.
• Oversee team resource planning and collaborate on resource allocation across teams and offices.
• Conduct individual performance evaluations, annual merit and bonus assessments, and decisions regarding professional development.
• Assist in recruitment through resume reviews, technical phone interviews, collaboration with HR, in-person interviews, and debrief assessments.
• Direct engineering activities related to proposals, design, and construction readiness for renewable energy projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and liaise with project management.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and regulatory mandates.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and scopes, including modifications.
• Review and authorize technical documentation while maintaining responsible charge.
• Provide cost-effective engineering solutions that align with project objectives and long-term performance goals.
• Collaborate with Sales and engineers to drive revenue growth and enhance service offerings.
• Contribute to proposal development and review alongside Proposal Development and Project Management teams.
• Cultivate and sustain positive client relationships.
• Engage in cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil or Structural, from an ABET-accredited program or its equivalent is strongly preferred.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to acquire one, is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering design is required.
• A minimum of 5 years in the renewable energy sector is necessary.
• Preferred experience includes at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.
• Proven experience in leading intricate, multidisciplinary renewable energy projects from initial design to final implementation is essential.
• Capability to balance the priorities and timelines of both internal and external stakeholders while managing organizational risk.
• Proficient in conveying technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Project are required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is a beneficial asset.
• A collaborative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for advancing the clean energy transition are vital.
