This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Drive the strategy, development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the HVAC Equipment Training portfolio for Johnson Controls customers and channel partners.
• Lead and mentor a team of technical learning professionals.
• Set priorities and create plans that align with product roadmaps, business objectives, customer demands, and partner capabilities.
• Manage, coach, and develop team members, establishing expectations and promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee operational and financial performance utilizing metrics such as revenue, utilization, capacity, customer experience, learning outcomes, and others.
• Collaborate with business, product, and channel stakeholders to convert requirements into effective learning solutions.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality instructor-led, virtual, online, hands-on, and blended learning experiences.
• Align instructor resources, training schedules, equipment, labs, and resources with business priorities and customer demand.
• Maintain consistency between training programs, product updates, and the needs of customers and partners.
• Utilize learner feedback, assessments, operational data, and business outcomes to assess effectiveness and drive enhancements.
• Streamline, standardize, and expand training processes, programs, and resources.
• Communicate portfolio performance, priorities, risks, and resource requirements to stakeholders and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Education, Business, Organizational Development, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, technical training, customer education, enablement, program management, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing others.
• Experience managing multiple programs, projects, services, or a portfolio with competing priorities and stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to leverage data to identify opportunities, set priorities, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with a proven ability to quickly grasp complex products, technologies, processes, or business environments.
• Formal experience in people management.
• Experience overseeing a learning portfolio, training operation, customer education function, or a similar service organization.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development, instructional methods, and learning evaluation.
• Experience working with external customers, channel partners, distributors, or other non-employee learner groups.
• Background in HVAC, building technologies, industrial equipment, manufacturing, engineering, or another technical field.
