This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Offer guidance on employee relations and provide case management support for associates, leaders, and HR partners.
• Ensure that employee relations issues are handled consistently, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
• Act as a crucial liaison among the Life Sciences Platform, Operating Companies, works council, employee representative bodies, Danaher’s Global Labor & Employee Relations Center of Excellence, Compliance Team, and L&E Legal team.
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders on employee relations issues and the consistent application of policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Oversee individual or collective workforce reduction activities and operational or organizational changes that necessitate consultation with works councils and employee representative bodies.
• Lead, conduct, and support performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievance hearings, and other associate-related issues.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of employee relations policies, procedures, toolkits, and standard operating procedures.
• Serve as a liaison with the Danaher LER COE for designated Operating Companies within relevant jurisdictions.
• Maintain employee relations case data and reporting, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree, Juris Doctor (J.D.), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in Labor and Employee Relations, Human Resources Business Partnering, Employment Law, or a related discipline within the applicable jurisdiction(s).
• Proven experience in managing employee relations cases, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, and workforce reduction activities.
• Background in a unionized environment and/or experience working with works councils and other employee representative bodies.
• Solid understanding of applicable employment laws and regulations within the relevant jurisdiction(s).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Experience supporting employee relations in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Advanced skills in preparing and negotiating collective/factory agreements that align with country best practices (preferred).
• Familiarity with employee relations case management systems and reporting tools (preferred).
