Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Mid-Level Technical Leader, without being counted as a developer.

• Coordinate technical activities.

• Conduct technical reviews.

• Resolve blockages.

• Ensure quality assurance.

• Work under the guidance of the Architect.

• Knowledge of backend development.

• Java 17 or higher.

• Spring Boot 3.x.

• Spring Web.

• JPA/Hibernate.

• PostgreSQL.

• Maven or Gradle.

• Testing with JUnit and Mockito.

• Management of DTOs, mappers, and validations.

• Centralized exception handling.

• OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.

• Development and consumption of REST APIs.

• Consumption of SOAP services.

• Interpretation of WSDL and XSD.

• Management of JSON and XML.

• Authentication using OAuth 2.0, API keys, or certificates.

• Timeout, retries, and circuit breaker implementations.

• Idempotency in payment operations.

• Validation of data and error codes.

• Logging, correlation, and traceability.

• Integration with external and legacy systems.

• Proficiency in Git and GitHub.

• Branching strategies.

• Pull requests and code review practices.

• Experience with Jira.

• Familiarity with SonarQube.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.

• Analysis of dependencies and vulnerabilities.

• Logs and monitoring.

• Agile methodologies.

• Between 5 to 7 years in software development.

• At least 2 or 3 years as a technical leader, technical reference, or team lead.

• Experience leading small teams of two to five developers.

• Background in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.

• Preferred experience in banking, financial services, or transactional systems.

• Experience working with Scrum, Jira, GitHub, and pull requests.
