Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Oversee a small group of developers on a daily basis, including collaboration with external development partners.

• Conduct daily reviews of the team's pull requests and offer clear, actionable feedback.

• Write code, tackle complex features, and provide support to the team as necessary.

• Establish and uphold development standards, including branching, testing protocols, definition of done, and code review methodologies.

• Co-manage the CI/CD pipeline, environments, and release processes, with the expectation of full ownership.

• Utilize established AI agents and coding tools, optimize their effectiveness, and extend them as required.

• Decompose requirements into technical tasks and sprint plans in collaboration with the Lead Business Analyst.

• Collaborate with the Lead Designer to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

• Maintain a strong understanding of the codebase to clearly explain functions, features, and APIs to the team or clients.

• Estimate tasks, commit to deadlines, and proactively identify risks.

• Participate in client calls to present technical solutions and address technical inquiries.

• Mentor and onboard developers as the team expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Over 6 years of experience in full-stack web development.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or mentoring role for other developers.

• Extensive experience with TypeScript, React/Next.js, and Node.js.

• Strong background in PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and row-level security.

• Demonstrated experience in reviewing code from other developers daily and elevating the technical standards of a team.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or similar tools, along with automated testing.

• Proven ability to establish development standards for a team, covering branching, testing protocols, definition of done, and code review practices.

• Significant hands-on experience coding with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT.

• Experience working with existing AI agents and harnesses and extending them as necessary.

• A self-starter who can independently execute objectives without waiting for direction.

• Capable of providing actionable insights and guidance to developers and clients rather than offering general observations.

• An innovative thinker who seeks new solutions to problems and accelerates delivery.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with US clients and articulately explain technical decisions.

• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

• Receptive to feedback and quick to implement it.

• Experience in solution architecture is considered a plus.

• Familiarity with Supabase and experience leading outsourced or vendor teams is a plus.

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and Progressive Web Apps (PWA) is a plus.
