Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead a high-performing engineering team

• Mentor engineers through regular one-on-one meetings and ongoing feedback

• Cultivate a culture of ownership, learning, and teamwork

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and professional development

• Eliminate obstacles to enable the team to excel

• Take ownership of delivery and convert product objectives into actionable engineering plans

• Decompose complex projects into clearly defined work packages

• Collaborate with Product to scope, estimate, and prioritize tasks

• Balance quality, speed, and business impact effectively

• Drive architectural decisions within the engineering team

• Uphold high engineering standards through thorough reviews and mentoring

• Enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability

• Engage hands-on with features, refactoring, and resolving production issues

• Align with other Technical Leads and Product Managers

• Manage dependencies across various teams

• Share knowledge and continuously refine engineering practices

• Utilize AI on a daily basis for implementation, code reviews, testing, debugging, documentation, and architecture

• Optimize engineering workflows through AI

• Mentor the team in integrating new AI capabilities

• Experiment with cutting-edge AI tools and establish best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development

• Proficient in ASP.NET Core

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript

• Experience in building scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) products

• Comfortable working within cloud-native architectures

• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 APIs is an advantage

• Knowledge of F#, or strong skills in C# with a genuine interest in learning functional programming

• Previous experience in a leadership role within an engineering team

• Capability to scope and estimate complex tasks

• Ability to prioritize effectively in the face of changing requirements

• Skill in balancing technical debt with product delivery

• Aptitude for making pragmatic engineering choices

• Capacity to keep teams aligned and accountable

• Hands-on leadership style

• Advanced usage of AI integrated into daily engineering workflows

• Ability to help others enhance their effectiveness with AI

• Nice to have: Knowledge of F#, Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Vertical Slice Architecture, Microsoft Graph API, React Native, experience in Enterprise B2B software, and familiarity with governance or regulated sectors
