Technical Lead – App Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Engage in hands-on development and support of enterprise-level J2EE web applications.

• Create Java backend solutions and integrate various backend systems.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and frontend developers to establish backend-system integrations.

• Identify implementation specifics and execute integration solutions.

• Assist in development using Spring, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies.

• Operate within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environments.

• Take part in continuous integration and continuous development processes.

• Deploy applications to enterprise application servers.

• Offer recommendations for sizing and scalability.

• Troubleshoot connectivity and deployment challenges.

• Contribute to both onshore and offshore development management models.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of development experience in Java Web/Enterprise projects.

• Proficient in Java 1.8, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React/Angular JS.

• Experience in developing cloud-based applications.

• Expertise in enterprise-level J2EE web application development and support.

• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) processes.

• Experience in migrating SOAP-based web services to REST services.

• Understanding of design patterns.

• Experience with Java EE and Maven.

• Familiarity with application servers like Jetty, Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic.

• Knowledge of Spring frameworks and open-source libraries.

• Proficiency in Spring Security and SSO solutions.

• Experience with REST/SOAP web services.

• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, DB2, SQL, JDBC, and ORM tools.

• Experience in providing sizing and scalability recommendations and addressing connectivity and deployment challenges.

• Familiarity with deploying applications to enterprise application servers.

• Experience using Agile development methodologies.

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience with onshore and offshore development management models.

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project development methodologies.
