Technical Lead – App Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain enterprise-level web applications utilizing J2EE technology.

• Act as a hands-on Java backend developer to integrate various backend systems.

• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and frontend developers to define backend system integrations.

• Identify implementation specifics and execute backend integration implementations.

• Operate within both onshore and offshore development management frameworks.

• Engage in Agile and Waterfall project development methodologies.

• Facilitate continuous integration and continuous development processes.

• Deploy applications to enterprise application servers.

• Offer recommendations for sizing and scalability.

• Address connectivity and deployment challenges.

• Transition SOAP-based web services to RESTful services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of development experience in Java Web/Enterprise projects.

• Core competencies include Java 1.8, Spring Boot, Microservices, React/Angular JS, and experience in cloud development.

• Proven hands-on experience in developing and supporting enterprise-level J2EE web applications.

• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and various cloud technologies.

• Direct experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.

• Experience managing both onshore and offshore development models.

• Strong communication skills.

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project development methodologies.

• Experience in migrating SOAP-based web services to REST services.

• Knowledge of design patterns.

• Proficient with Java EE and Maven.

• Experience with application servers like Jetty, Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic.

• Experience with Spring frameworks and open-source Java libraries.

• Familiar with Spring Security and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.

• Experience with REST/SOAP web services.

• Knowledgeable in Oracle, MySQL, and DB2 database applications, SQL, JDBC, and ORM tools.

• Experience in providing sizing and scalability recommendations, along with resolving connectivity and deployment issues.

• Experience deploying applications to servers within enterprise environments.

• Proficient in utilizing Agile development methodologies.
