Technical Implementations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Interact with clients on implementation projects related to Smile Digital Health’s products and services.

• Configure the Smile platform, create scripts, troubleshoot issues, design technical solutions, and offer architectural advice.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of HL7, FHIR, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and XML.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and escalate requests to leadership as needed.

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to support client initiatives.

• Collaborate with Implementations, Service, and Account Managers to enhance the profitability of professional services.

• Assist in the development and troubleshooting of technical support analysts.

• Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required.

• Aid in RFIs and RFPs to secure new business opportunities.

• Accurately report working hours in NetSuite, ensuring maximum billable time and utilizing project management features.

• Support the professional services team and oversee the delivery of technical solutions for Smile Digital Health clients.

• Work alongside core development, product management, solution architecture, and support teams to enhance the performance, scalability, durability, and security of custom solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Java and JavaScript development.

• Proven proficiency in Spring, REST, SQL, and Git.

• More than 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions independently and collaboratively.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective client and team collaboration.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Highly organized and flexible in task prioritization.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; confident in leading meetings, documenting ideas, and persuading stakeholders.

• Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare open standards such as HL7 v2, FHIR, and CCDA.

• Preferred: Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ or other MQ systems, MongoDB, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience in Python and JavaScript.

• Preferred: Background in healthcare systems.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud development platforms such as AWS and Azure.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and iterative methodologies.

• Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
