This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert for SnapNrack in areas of structural engineering, engineering calculations, product applications, and permitting assistance.

• Facilitate the connection between Product Development, Application Engineering, and Digital Platforms by converting engineering concepts into scalable design standards, software logic, and customer-centric solutions.

• Manage the structural engineering methodologies, calculations, documentation, span tables, and product application criteria throughout the product portfolio.

• Analyze national and local building codes, AHJ requirements, and engineering standards to provide actionable product design guidance.

• Create and uphold engineering guidelines for Blueprint configuration, BOM generation, and digital engineering resources.

• Offer advanced engineering assistance for intricate customer applications, key accounts, and emerging market opportunities, including Commercial & Industrial sectors.

• Collaborate with Product Development to confirm designs, set engineering assumptions, and facilitate new product launches.

• Oversee external engineering consultants, PV designers, professional engineers, and permitting entities.

• Generate technical standards, engineering documents, and reusable design methodologies.

• Ensure precise engineering standards, prompt permitting support, accurate Blueprint engineering, and effective assistance for C&I and strategic initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Over 7 years of experience in structural or solar engineering.

• Proficient in ASCE 7, IBC, IRC, WFCM, and NDS codes.

• Familiarity with construction project plan reviews and permitting procedures.

• Expertise in structural analysis.

• Experience in customer-facing engineering roles.

• Preferred experience supporting PV design and engineering teams and processes.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
