Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance Cyware’s Cyber Fusion cybersecurity platform for both commercial and public-sector applications.

• Create scalable features from initial proposal to refined implementation, ensuring compliance with enterprise scale and stringent security regulations.

• Develop code in accordance with FedRAMP/GovRAMP standards, including secure coding practices, audit logging, RBAC, and encryption for data in transit and at rest.

• Oversee and evaluate team code to ensure adherence to enterprise and regulatory security benchmarks and maintainability.

• Collaborate with DevOps and GRC teams to implement features via CI/CD pipelines across commercial and AWS GovCloud settings.

• Enhance software solutions to alleviate developer challenges.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to uphold and support the production and operations of Cyware products.

• Report directly to the Senior VP of Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required (per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C)).

• Must adhere to U.S. government and enterprise security standards and qualify for security clearances.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 7–10+ years of experience in Python programming.

• Expertise in developing efficient REST APIs using Django/Django REST Framework.

• Strong skills in software design and architecture, including scalable microservices, MVC, OOPS principles, and design patterns like strategy and adapter.

• Familiarity with Generative AI integrations, REST/gRPC LLM services, AI agents, and RAG pipelines.

• Practical experience with AWS and AWS GovCloud services, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and multi-tenant architectures.

• Proficient in SAML, OAuth, PIV/CAC, FICAM, RBAC, OWASP, and secrets management aligned with FedRAMP/GovRAMP controls.

• Knowledgeable in PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, MongoDB, RDBMS, NoSQL, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.

• Experience with unit testing, debugging, test automation, CI/CD, source version control, Git/GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of Django scheduling frameworks or event-driven programming, limitations of Python threading, and multi-process architecture.

• Proven track record with scaled applications, scalable microservices, and developing products from the ground up.

• Strong command of data structures and algorithms, along with an understanding of server-side templating languages.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms across various systems, servers, and environments.

• Experience in product development from inception within regulated/FedRAMP environments.
