Technical Engineer – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Proactively demonstrate a strong dedication to safety and ensure adherence to elevated HSSE standards.

• Establish and nurture lasting customer relationships while offering on-site technical guidance to clients.

• Deliver expert technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding industrial lubricant applications.

• Collaborate with sales teams to secure new business opportunities and enhance existing customer connections.

• Create cost-effective and practical solutions to meet complex customer needs alongside the sales team.

• Design and conduct technical training sessions for both internal and external audiences.

• Work in close partnership with Technology and Marketing to advance products and services.

• Execute and assess field trials involving new and optimized lubricant products.

• Document and disseminate best practices while preparing technical case studies.

• Analyze and assess used-oil analyses.

• Participate in strategic projects that align with the Castrol Industries strategy.

• Mentor, coach, and assist in the professional growth of less experienced colleagues.

• Represent Castrol in technical networks, associations, working groups, and, when necessary, at academic institutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in engineering or a comparable qualification, such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, lubricant technology, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in an industrial setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of metalworking fluids and high-performance lubricants, along with their applications.

• A solid understanding of tribology and the technical principles of lubricants.

• Strong skills in technical customer consulting and value-selling.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems like Salesforce, and other relevant tools.

• A structured, solution-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.

• Familiarity with sustainability, energy efficiency, and resource conservation is advantageous.

• Exceptional communication abilities and a confident demeanor when engaging with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
