Technical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Proactively advocate for safety awareness and ensure adherence to elevated HSSE standards.

• Establish and nurture sustainable customer relationships while offering on-site technical consulting.

• Deliver expert technical support in industrial lubricant applications to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Assist sales teams in acquiring new business and enhancing existing customer relationships.

• Collaborate with Sales to devise commercially viable and practical solutions for intricate customer needs.

• Create and implement technical training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.

• Work closely with Technology and Marketing to advance products and services.

• Conduct and assess field trials for new and optimized lubricants.

• Document best practices and develop technical case studies for knowledge sharing.

• Analyze used-oil assessments to inform technical decision-making.

• Contribute to strategic projects that align with the Castrol Industries strategy.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to less experienced team members.

• Represent Castrol in technical networks, associations, working groups, and at universities when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in engineering or a related qualification, such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, lubricant technology, or manufacturing engineering.

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in an industrial setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of metalworking fluids, high-performance lubricants, and their applications.

• A solid understanding of tribology and the technical principles of lubricants.

• Strong skills in technical customer consulting and value-selling.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems like Salesforce, and other relevant tools.

• A structured and solution-focused approach to addressing complex technical issues.

• Familiarity with sustainability, energy efficiency, and resource conservation is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and a confident presence with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.

• Compliance with applicable local policies is required; employment may be subject to drug screening, medical fitness evaluations, and background checks.
