This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the operational lead for the CWB Welding Foundation, supporting current programs offered by the Foundation.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that programs maintain high quality, relevance, and impact.
• Assist the Program Manager in the creation and execution of innovative new program offerings.
• Aid in program and impact reporting for the portfolio of programs.
• Oversee scheduling, logistics, inventory management, supply management, and risk management.
• Provide expert technical consultation and serve as a liaison regarding facilities and program planning, equipment and supplies, health and safety, and curriculum development.
• Plan, deliver, and supervise both onsite and remote programs, including student orientation, awareness-building programs, events, camps, and educator training.
• Develop, manage, and nurture relationships with both external and internal partners.
• Assist in the development and delivery of educational programs and project-based learning related to welding careers, skilled trades, STEM, engineering, and robotics.
• Support the annual and long-term development, management, and planning of welding education programs.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• A minimum of a Community College/Polytechnic Diploma or Degree.
• Preference for post-secondary education in fields such as education, business, and/or welding-related trades and technology.
• A recognized Welder/Fitter and/or Welding Technologist diploma.
• Experience in welding education or teaching in the secondary and/or post-secondary education sectors.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Work experience in the welding industry or a related position.
• Teaching experience is required.
• Program and/or project management experience is necessary.
• Practical welding skills and knowledge.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to scheduled timelines and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals and objectives.
• CWB Qualified Welder and/or CWB Certified Visual Inspector is highly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
• Willingness and commitment to travel across Canada.
• A valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle are required.
