Technical Draftsman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Prepare, update, and sustain technical drawings, layouts, diagrams, and associated design documentation.

• Transform inputs from engineers, technicians, and programs into precise draft products and regulated documentation.

• Examine sketches, specifications, markups, and reference materials to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of drawings.

• Aid in configuration control and revision tracking for technical documents.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to integrate design modifications and operational feedback.

• Ensure that drawings adhere to relevant drafting standards, customer specifications, and internal quality protocols.

• Assist in the creation of high-quality technical visuals for reviews, demonstrations, and client deliverables.

• Maintain well-organized digital files, drawing archives, and documentation repositories.

• Support technical planning initiatives by documenting layouts, scenarios, or equipment configurations as necessary.

• Engage in design reviews and provide drafting updates in response to review feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, design technology, engineering support, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

• Experience in producing technical drawings and documentation within a professional setting.

• Proficiency in computer-aided drafting and design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, DraftSight, or similar software.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines effectively.

• Capability to interpret engineering notes, technical requirements, and operational concepts.

• Familiarity with document control and configuration management practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional technical team environment.
