Technical Director – Enterprise Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Define and oversee FormFactor’s enterprise technology architecture, application strategy, integration standards, and modernization roadmap.

• Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise business systems, ensuring alignment between technology investments, strategic objectives, operational needs, and long-term growth plans.

• Establish architecture standards, guide solution design, foster technology innovation, and ensure that enterprise platforms are scalable, secure, integrated, and maintainable.

• Directly manage and lead the Oracle ERP AMS team responsible for lifecycle execution, deployment, and optimization of the hybrid Oracle application landscape and relevant core business platforms.

• Lead architecture review boards, release management, steering committees, and cross-functional governance forums.

• Ensure solutions comply with architecture standards, project delivery methodologies, IT change governance, cybersecurity requirements, and SOX controls.

• Identify architectural risks, technical debt, lifecycle concerns, and platform dependencies while establishing remediation plans.

• Architect and direct the framework for deploying Enterprise GenAI applications, intelligent automation pipelines, and predictive model hosting initiatives.

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Trade Compliance, and other business functions to translate needs into technology solutions.

• Provide technical guidance for major programs and solution designs.

• Direct decisions regarding make, buy, modernize, integrate, and retire across the enterprise application portfolio.

• Serve as the senior architecture authority for FormFactor’s hybrid Oracle enterprise application ecosystem.

• Define Oracle application boundaries, integration methods, extension strategies, customization guidelines, environment patterns, and lifecycle roadmaps.

• Ensure effective integration of Oracle solutions with MES, PLM, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft technologies, analytics platforms, and other enterprise systems.

• Define integration strategies and standards for APIs, middleware, event-driven services, EDI, batch interfaces, file exchanges, and data movement.

• Establish application lifecycle strategies and lead efforts in rationalization, consolidation, modernization, retirement, hybrid-cloud, and SaaS planning.

• Identify and spearhead opportunities related to AI, intelligent automation, predictive capabilities, and digital workflows.

• Establish responsible AI architecture standards and governance.

• Partner with data and analytics leaders to enable trustworthy, secure, accessible, and integrated information.

• Lead and develop enterprise, solution, application, and integration architects.

• Advise executives and business partners on technology strategy, architecture decisions, investment priorities, risks, and trade-offs.

• Oversee strategic vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers.

• Foster partnerships across Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, PMO, Internal Audit, and business functions.

• Oversee critical lifecycle infrastructure initiatives and coordinate with the DBA team on core system patching and upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years of experience; or equivalent experience.

• Progressive experience in enterprise applications, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, systems integration, or technology leadership.

• Experience leading architects, technical leaders, or enterprise technology teams within a complex global environment.

• Experience directing global enterprise application delivery teams, solution architects, and functional leaders in a matrixed corporate structure.

• Proven track record in establishing enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, technology roadmaps, and target-state architectures.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale application modernization, integration, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience architecting solutions across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Trade Compliance, Analytics, and other core enterprise functions.

• Strong experience with enterprise integrations, middleware, APIs, data movement, SaaS platforms, and hybrid-cloud architectures.

• Experience operating in SOX-controlled environments and collaborating with Cybersecurity, Risk, Internal Audit, and PMO organizations.

• Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or another complex global manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

• Extensive hands-on architecture experience across Oracle enterprise applications in intricate, integrated production environments.

• Deep knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, including Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Order Management, WMS, ASCP, and related application architecture.

• Significant experience with Oracle cloud applications and services such as GTM, CPQ, EPBCS, OAC, OIC, or comparable Oracle SaaS and PaaS capabilities.

• Proven capability to develop roadmaps for hybrid Oracle environments encompassing both on-premises and cloud platforms.

• Strong understanding of Oracle application integrations, extensions, configurations, customizations, reporting, security dependencies, and modernization options.

• Experience evaluating Oracle product direction and translating vendor roadmaps into actionable enterprise architecture recommendations.

• Expertise in enterprise architecture strategy, business capability alignment, solution governance, and application portfolio management.

• Architecture leadership across ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, planning, analytics, SaaS, cloud, and integration platforms.

• Exceptional executive communication, structured decision-making, stakeholder alignment, influence, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to simplify complex technical issues and convey risks, options, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong financial acumen related to technology investments, licensing, vendor proposals, implementation costs, and total cost of ownership.

• Capacity to lead through influence across global, cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Proven track record in orchestrating cross-functional DBA operations and managing the comprehensive execution of complex patch setups and ensuring environment stability.
