Federal Enterprise Architect – DOD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design solutions that encompass hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components.

• Create and present proposals tailored to customer needs.

• Ensure that customer business and technical requirements are fulfilled.

• Provide technical expertise to sales teams and clients through engaging presentations and demonstrations.

• Assess business challenges and articulate the value of solutions offered.

• Convert outcome-based solutions into functional and technical designs, as well as scalable architectures.

• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Contribute to industry conferences and events by providing content, presentations, demonstrations, and support at booths.

• Collect and utilize competitive intelligence.

• Lead account business planning initiatives.

• Collaborate with account teams on customer transformation strategies.

• Conduct comparative analyses of various solution approaches.

• Develop, configure, and optimize workload solutions.

• Utilize partner products and services effectively.

• Share knowledge with external partners.

• Enhance account pipeline by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

• Oversee pipelines and foster deals through to closure.

• Engage in sales forecast meetings.

• Document activities throughout the sales cycle using relevant tools.

• Cultivate relationships with customer executives.

• Share expertise with colleagues and mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• US citizenship is required.

• Travel requirement is over 50%.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience working with or supporting the Federal Sector within DOD.

• At least 6 years of technical IT experience with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling.

• Practical technical IT experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management.

• Capability to apply technical expertise to architect, configure, and showcase solutions that fulfill DoD mission requirements.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Proven ability to balance technical precision with practical implementation.

• A first-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications is required.

• An advanced degree in technology is preferred.

• Extensive experience in advanced solution configuration, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept development.

• In-depth knowledge of company products, software, services, solution domains, and as-a-service offerings.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in English and relevant local languages as necessary.

• Strong business and financial acumen, including familiarity with sales cycles, pipeline growth, reporting, business strategy, TCO/ROI, and financial modeling.

• Advanced consultative/value selling skills, encompassing whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing techniques.

• Proficient understanding of business and technical tools, as well as CRM systems.

• Strong resource management skills.

• Hands-on experience with relevant products, solutions, tools, or services.

• Ability to design demonstration or walkthrough playbooks.

• Capacity to deliver live demonstrations or walkthroughs effectively.

• Advanced knowledge or experience in project and time management, analytical skills, problem-solving, and due diligence.

• Well-versed in partner offerings and go-to-market strategies.

• Strong skills in strategic planning and account management.
