This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee and direct the organization's internal IT support operations.
• Address hardware, software, and application challenges, including intricate escalations.
• Act as the main point of contact and expert for Google Workspace.
• Implement, manage, and monitor an internal IT ticketing system.
• Analyze support trends to enhance service delivery continuously.
• Directly supervise, mentor, and develop the IT Service Desk and Support Manager.
• Formalize workflows for Joiners, Movers, and Leavers, enforcing RBAC, MFA, and immediate offboarding/revocation procedures.
• Oversee MDM solutions, disk encryption, OS patch management, and remote wipe functionalities.
• Establish and test IT incident response plans, data backups, and SaaS service availability.
• Maintain IT asset registers, access logs, and security controls for audit and regulatory compliance.
• Promote information security within the IT support division.
• Manage hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Audit user seats, eliminate shadow IT, and oversee software licensing.
• Manage relationships with external application providers, including vendor interactions, escalations, and SLAs.
• Provide technical support for organization-wide software and application integration initiatives.
• Identify and integrate AI and emerging technologies to enhance processes and boost efficiency.
• Demonstrated experience in IT support and service delivery within a regulated environment; experience in fintech, financial services, or a similar sector is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in leading a function or managing staff in a player-coach role.
• Strong technical skills across a diverse array of hardware and software.
• Extensive knowledge of administering and supporting Google Workspace.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and managing Access Governance, including Joiners, Movers, and Leavers processes.
• Solid grasp of information security principles, BCP/DR planning, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and Cyber Essentials.
• Experience in implementing and managing IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.
• Ability to manage IT assets effectively, optimize software licensing costs, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Innovative and forward-thinking approach.
• Passion for identifying and implementing AI-driven solutions and process enhancements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Professional qualifications in IT service management, information security, or Google Cloud certifications are highly advantageous.
