📋 Description

• Conduct independent technical evaluations of proposed components in comparison to claimed commercial equivalents.

• Create detailed side-by-side comparisons of key characteristics based on drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Analyze and document equivalence in form, fit, and function, considering application and installation context.

• Measure and characterize technical differences that contribute to price variations, aiding in the analyst's pricing strategy.

• Draft technical narratives that support or contest supplier assertions.

• Identify comparable components and alternative commercial sources through market research assistance.

• Contest unsupported claims with justifiable technical reasoning.

• Mentor and support team members.

• Conduct technical reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in component engineering, alternate sourcing, EPA/TDR development, should-cost analysis, or value engineering within an aerospace hardware context.

• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages.

• Experience in evaluating part equivalence for source substitution or qualification purposes.

• Knowledge of aerospace product families across both commercial and defense sectors.

• Ability to produce clear technical documentation aimed at a compliance-focused audience rather than an engineering audience.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
