Technical Delivery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical execution of projects from the design phase through implementation and transition.

• Manage and direct subject matter experts in infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and platform areas.

• Ensure that technical teams comprehend dependencies, milestones, risks, and delivery expectations.

• Organize technical workshops, design reviews, implementation planning sessions, and facilitate technical decision-making processes.

• Address cross-functional technical challenges and escalate issues when required.

• Confirm that implementations adhere to approved High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architectural standards, and security requirements.

• Maintain technical integrity throughout the project life cycle.

• Review and endorse technical deliverables from subject matter experts and third-party vendors.

• Act as a liaison among project teams, architects, operations teams, and vendors.

• Develop and uphold technical delivery plans across various workstreams.

• Identify dependencies, sequencing necessities, resource requirements, and environmental prerequisites.

• Oversee infrastructure testing, network validation, operational acceptance testing (OAT), disaster recovery testing, security validation, and performance/resilience testing.

• Recognize technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Manage technical issues that impact timelines, quality, or operational readiness.

• Provide technical status updates to the Project Manager and governance forums.

• Assist in project escalation and decision-making processes.

• Prepare technical implementation plans and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).

• Coordinate technical change requests through Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.

• Validate rollback procedures and recovery strategies.

• Ensure that deployment activities are controlled and auditable.

• Engage support teams early in the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and support procedures.

• Verify monitoring, alerting, backup, resilience, and support requirements.

• Obtain operational acceptance prior to go-live.

• Create technical delivery plans, design reviews, implementation and migration plans, change requests and MOPs, risk and dependency registers, testing plans and evidence, operational readiness assessments, transition documentation, and go-live recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, network, or platform engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience leading the technical delivery of complex enterprise projects.

• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams, including resources from infrastructure, network, security, cloud, application, and suppliers.

• Demonstrated capability in delivering large-scale Microsoft-based solutions from design to implementation and transition to support.

• Experience working in regulated environments with stringent governance, security, and change-management requirements.

• Experience managing technical dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation planning across multiple workstreams.

• Familiarity with working alongside third-party service providers and managed service partners.

• Skills in technical planning and workstream management.

• Proficiency in cross-functional stakeholder management.

• Experience in workshop facilitation and making technical decisions.

• Knowledge of technical risk assessment and mitigation.

• Skills in service transition and operational readiness planning.

• Coordination experience with vendors and suppliers.

• Ability to create technical documentation and executive reports.

• Certification in Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or Azure Security Engineer is preferred.

• ITIL Foundation or ITIL Managing Professional certification.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.

• Knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals, including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Internet, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and load balancing.

• Understanding of hybrid cloud architecture and connectivity.

• Experience with datacentre and cloud migration projects.

• Familiarity with infrastructure resiliency and disaster recovery solutions.

• Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and operational support models.

• Understanding of technology lifecycle and platform governance.

• Ability to lead teams without direct authority.

• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.

• Strong communication skills across executive, project, operational, and technical audiences.
