Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert on Atlassian tools, providing clients with advice on products, associated technologies, and Isos best practices.

• Deliver advanced end-user support, which includes Jira workflow scripting/automation, Confluence content creation, and Bamboo build plan development.

• Analyze client business requirements, integrations, and system architecture to suggest continuous enhancements.

• Design and construct sustainable, enterprise-grade solutions that can be smoothly transitioned to client teams.

• Set up and deploy highly available Atlassian environments on Linux and, at times, Windows, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Crowd.

• Create and maintain best practices for both on-premises and cloud-based Atlassian environments.

• Configure, sustain, and optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.

• Integrate Atlassian tools with Active Directory/LDAP, Crowd, OAuth, and SAML.

• Operate within complex networking environments and apply enterprise networking principles.

• Utilize Git for version control.

• Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts for system administration tasks.

• Implement and advance automation tools.

• Employ automated security testing platforms to audit and secure applications.

• Ensure that deployments adhere to security, performance, and reliability best practices.

• Develop, document, and execute standardized procedures and technical instructions.

• Enhance delivery processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members.

• Communicate effectively with clients across various industries and technical skill levels.

• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify needs, challenges, and opportunities.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate strategic roadmaps.

• Foster strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor.

• Identify opportunities for service expansion and increase client value.

• Assist clients in embracing best practices and evolving their Atlassian ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience and/or expert knowledge in a technical operational environment.

• Experience in configuring and scripting for various operating systems.

• Proven capability to troubleshoot complex systems that comprise multiple components.

• Familiarity with configuring and integrating authentication/directory services such as Active Directory (LDAP), Crowd, OAuth, and SAML.

• Experience in supporting and working with relational databases.

• Background in third-party and custom application installation, configuration, and/or support.

• Experience in scripting using REST APIs.

• Professional demeanor and alignment with Isos' values.

• Ability to effectively manage time and expectations with internal resources and clients.

• Capacity to handle multiple clients and issues concurrently.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for technical and business operations audiences.

• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team of engineers and front-end application administrators.

• Preferred: Experience deploying Atlassian applications using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

• Preferred: Knowledge of bare-metal, virtual machines, and public cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Atlassian Forge.

• Willingness to participate in and successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
