Litigation Consultant – Commercial Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage and resolve high-end cases that involve serious injuries, intricate coverage situations, and legal questions or disputes.

• Formulate strategies aimed at achieving satisfactory resolutions for cases.

• Review and take action on reports and forms; respond to inquiries; seek legal opinions and pursue early resolutions; communicate outcomes to relevant parties.

• Oversee high-stakes cases with significant injuries and/or complex coverage issues.

• Respond to decisions, agreements, or court orders; develop action plans; assess the need for examinations; obtain client authorization.

• Identify cases suitable for settlements or redemptions.

• Collect and document additional information while coordinating with client representatives.

• Initiate legal or private investigations; assign tasks to local counsel and oversee their performance.

• Address requests from plaintiff’s counsel, union representatives, employees, or clients.

• Recognize issues and devise defense strategies.

• Establish or modify accrued liabilities and authorize administrative expenses.

• Identify subrogation opportunities and manage the associated processes.

• Attend and engage in mediations, trials, arbitrations, or hearings as necessary.

• Collaborate with partners to facilitate early return-to-work initiatives.

• Contribute to the organization’s quality programs.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and applicable laws.

• Obtain and maintain the necessary state adjusting licenses for the role.

• Technically proficient with a solid understanding of legal pleadings and discovery processes.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations.

• Proficient in PC usage, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical and interpretative abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Outstanding negotiation abilities.

• Capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
