Technical Commodity Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with NPI Procurement, Design Engineers, Commodity Managers, and other key stakeholders to implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy during the NPI phase for Sandisk flash products

• Guarantee supply continuity and the inclusion of top-tier components in bill of materials

• Offer technological expertise to shape supply base strategy

• Advance supply base strategy through BOM evaluation during the product design phase

• Recommend alternative sources or component substitutions

• Lead the technical qualification process

• Deliver expert technical support for supplier and technology selection

• Confirm that qualified suppliers and components adhere to Sandisk's technical, quality, and sustainability standards

• Assess suppliers’ technology roadmaps to ensure alignment with Sandisk's technical requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience

• At least 4 years of professional experience

• Proficient in electronic components and integrated circuits (IC)

• Experience in project management

• Relevant background in technical commodity management, product development, quality management, or field application engineering

• Hardware design experience is advantageous

• Ability to persuade and influence others

• Self-driven and motivated

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Strong project management, organizational, and analytical abilities

• Exceptional team facilitation and presentation skills

• Capability to present to all management levels and stakeholders, articulating strategies and performance metrics effectively
