This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections for commercial, residential, and industrial building systems, which encompass electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, and structural elements.
• Execute building assessment projects, including data aggregation, facility equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot evaluations, and surveys.
• Perform walk-through inspections of accessible and visible building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exteriors, roofs, and pavements.
• Gather data from equipment plates and input it into web-based applications.
• Capture photographs of equipment, tags, site features, and building attributes.
• Assess equipment conditions and apply bar codes to specified equipment.
• Analyze plans, construction documents, scopes of work, property records, maintenance logs, inspection reports, warranties, and repair/improvement expenses.
• Progress after training and hands-on experience to more intricate assessments, such as Property Condition Assessments, ADA checklists, and environmental data collection.
• Create detailed written reports that accurately reflect findings in accordance with ASTM standards utilizing computers, iPads, and other electronic devices and software.
• Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-compliance issues, providing recommendations for corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and standards, including ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC, and ASME.
• Communicate inspection outcomes and compliance concerns to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and inspectors to ensure consistent inspection quality and control.
• Maintain ongoing project communication with senior management and report any deployment issues or potential challenges.
• Achieve productivity and report-quality targets.
• Provide timely customer service and proactive solutions to clients.
• Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures, work instructions, safety protocols, and BV quality standards.
• Safeguard confidential company information.
• Work overtime as authorized by a supervisor or Program Management.
• Travel 75–90% of the time to client/project sites throughout the U.S.; onsite visits may extend up to three consecutive weeks.
• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required; some college education is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is necessary.
• Certification as a Home Inspector or InterNACHI certification is mandatory.
• A valid driver's license is required, with no significant motor vehicle report (MVR) points or violations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to present information and address inquiries from clients, peers, and technical field staff.
• Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret diverse instructions and handle both abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient in time management, active listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Must possess a cell phone and provide personal internet service.
• Must meet the physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, climbing, crouching, lifting up to 40 pounds, operating tablets/computers, and safely driving a motor vehicle.
• Ability to effectively work from a remote location is required.
• Travel by plane, motor vehicle, or train to client sites across the U.S. is necessary.
• Overnight stays away from home are required during onsite assignments.
