This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct QA/QC inspections of commercial, residential, and industrial building systems, which include electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, and structural components.

• Undertake building assessment projects involving data aggregation, equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and surveys.

• Execute walk-through surveys of accessible and visible building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, and pavement.

• Gather data from equipment plates and input it into web-based applications.

• Capture photographs of equipment, tags, site characteristics, and building features.

• Assess equipment condition and apply bar codes to identified items.

• Review plans, construction documents, scopes of work, property records, maintenance records, inspection reports, warranties, and repair/improvement costs.

• Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-conformance issues while recommending corrective actions.

• Progress to completing Property Condition Assessments, ADA checklists, and environmental data collection following training and on-site experience.

• Compile detailed written reports outlining findings in accordance with ASTM standards utilizing computers, iPads, and various software.

• Communicate inspection results and compliance issues to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other inspectors to ensure consistency and quality control.

• Maintain communication with senior management regarding site deployment matters and potential challenges.

• Stay updated on building codes, safety regulations, and standards including ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC, and ASME.

• Achieve productivity and report-quality targets.

• Safeguard confidential company information and deliver timely, proactive customer service.

• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards.

• Engage in extensive travel and onsite deployments, which may include trips lasting up to three consecutive weeks and overnight stays.


⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Home Inspector or InterNACHI certification is mandatory.

• A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required; some college education is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is necessary.

• A valid driver's license is required with no significant points or violations on the motor vehicle report (clean driving record).

• Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures is essential.

• Capability to present information and address questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Competence in interpreting varied instructions and managing both abstract and concrete variables.

• Skills in time management, active listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

• Capability to work safely and maintain focus.

• Must possess a cell phone and provide personal internet service.

• Must meet physical demands, including walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, crawling, operating tablets/computers, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.

• Ability to work effectively from a remote location.

• Capacity to safely operate a motor vehicle with passengers.

• Willingness to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train to U.S. client locations.
