This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections of building systems, which encompass electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, and structural elements.
• Execute building assessment projects that include data aggregation, facility equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and surveys.
• Perform walk-through evaluations of building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, and pavement.
• Collect data on equipment, capture photographs of equipment and tags, assess equipment condition, and apply bar codes.
• Gather photographic evidence of equipment tags, site features, building characteristics, and observations.
• Analyze plans, construction documents, scopes of work, and site conditions.
• Evaluate repair and improvement costs, occupancy certificates, maintenance records, safety inspection reports, warranties, and property documents.
• Progress after training and on-site experience to more complex evaluations, such as Property Condition Assessments, ADA checklists, and environmental data collection.
• Draft written reports that accurately detail findings in accordance with ASTM standards using computers, iPads, and other software.
• Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-conformance issues, and suggest corrective measures.
• Communicate inspection outcomes and compliance matters to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and inspectors to ensure consistency in inspections and quality control.
• Maintain project communication with senior management concerning issues and potential concerns.
• Achieve productivity and report-quality targets.
• Deliver prompt customer service and proactive solutions to client requirements.
• Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety protocols.
• Travel 75–90% of the time to client/project locations across the U.S.; on-site visits may extend up to three consecutive weeks.
• A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required; some college education is preferred.
• At least 3 years of related experience is necessary.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid driver's license is required, with no significant motor vehicle report (MVR) points or violations (clean driving record).
• Capability to draft reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from clients, colleagues, and technical field personnel.
• Proficiency in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret diverse instructions and manage both abstract and concrete variables.
• Skills in time management, active listening, critical thinking, problem solving, and both oral and written communication.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
• Must possess a cell phone and provide personal internet service.
• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, climbing, crawling, lifting up to 40 pounds, and using electronic devices.
• Ability to effectively work from a remote location.
• Capability to safely operate a motor vehicle with passengers.
• Willingness to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train to client sites throughout the U.S.
• Readiness to engage in on-site deployments lasting up to three consecutive weeks, including overnight stays.
