This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections on building systems, covering electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, as well as structural components.
• Undertake building assessment projects, which include data aggregation, equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and conducting surveys.
• Execute walk-through assessments of building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exteriors, roofs, and pavement.
• Gather data from equipment plates and input it into web-based applications.
• Capture photographs of equipment, tags, site features, and building characteristics.
• Assess equipment condition and apply bar codes to the specified equipment.
• Review plans, construction documents, scopes of work, property records, maintenance records, inspection reports, warranties, and repair/improvement costs.
• Compare actual site conditions with plans and construction documents.
• Progress to advanced assessments such as Property Condition Assessments (PCA), ADA compliance checklists, and environmental data collection following training and on-site experience.
• Draft written reports that detail findings in accordance with ASTM standards using computers, iPads, and various electronic devices and software.
• Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-compliance issues while recommending corrective actions.
• Communicate inspection results and compliance matters to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and inspectors to ensure consistency in inspections and uphold quality control.
• Maintain project communication with senior management regarding any issues or potential challenges during site deployments.
• Achieve productivity and report quality targets.
• Deliver prompt customer service and proactive solutions to client requirements.
• Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, quality standards, safety protocols, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Travel extensively to client and project locations nationwide; on-site work and overnight stays are anticipated.
• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is necessary; some college education is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory, with no significant points or violations on the motor vehicle report (clean driving record).
• Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
• Capability to present information and address inquiries from clients, peers, and technical field staff.
• Aptitude to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and reach valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide range of instructions and manage both abstract and concrete variables.

• Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Capacity to work near energized electrical components and in outdoor, elevated, and varying weather conditions.
• Frequent travel availability is required: 75–90% of the time, including on-site visits lasting up to three continuous weeks and overnight stays.
