Technical Assessor Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct QA/QC inspections of building systems, which include Electrical, Mechanical, Fire & Life Safety, and/or Structural components.

• Execute building assessment projects, encompassing data aggregation, facility equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and surveys.

• Perform walk-through evaluations of accessible and visible building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exteriors, roofs, and pavements.

• Collect data from equipment data plates for entry into web-based applications; photograph equipment and tags; assess equipment condition; apply bar codes.

• Assemble photographic documentation of equipment tags, data tags, site features, and observations.

• Analyze plans, construction documents, and scopes of work against actual site conditions.

• Evaluate repair/improvement costs along with available occupancy, maintenance, safety inspection, warranty, and property records.

• Progress to performing complex building assessments, including Property Condition Assessments (PCA), ADA checklists, and environmental data collection.

• Generate written reports that accurately detail findings in accordance with ASTM standards using computers, iPads, and other electronic devices and software.

• Conduct on-site inspections of building systems, structural integrity, and safety compliance.

• Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-conformance issues, and recommend corrective measures.

• Communicate inspection results and compliance issues to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other inspectors to ensure consistency and quality control in inspections.

• Maintain ongoing communication with senior management on a project-by-project basis regarding issues and potential challenges.

• Achieve or surpass productivity and report-quality targets.

• Provide timely customer service and proactive solutions to clients' requirements.

• Adhere to BV policies, SOPs, Work Instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.

• Uphold confidentiality regarding company information.

• Travel frequently to client/project locations throughout the U.S.; onsite visits may extend up to three consecutive weeks.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required; some college coursework is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• A valid driver's license is necessary with no significant motor vehicle report (MVR) points/violations (must have a clean driving record).

• Capability to compose reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.

• Proficient in effectively presenting information and answering questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.

• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Capacity to interpret a wide range of instructions and manage numerous abstract and concrete variables.

• Required travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (75 - 90% of the time) to client/project locations across the U.S.

• Overnight travel away from home will be necessary for at least one week for every week deployed onsite.
