This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +23 more states.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of customer alarm systems.
• Provide remote technical support over the phone during scheduled appointments.
• Engage with customers to assess their security requirements and suggest appropriate products.
• Promote and enhance sales of security devices and services.
• Offer technical assistance to current customers through scheduled outbound calls.
• Troubleshoot and install ADT products and services effectively.
• Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly.
• Display comprehensive knowledge of ADT products and services.
• Educate customers on the functionality of their systems.
• Identify additional security and home automation options for customers.
• Troubleshoot communication failures related to landline and cellular/radio systems.
• Address issues with peripheral security devices, including sensors, detectors, and life-safety equipment.
• Resolve problems on Honeywell, Ademco, DSC, IQ, and Command systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with doorbells, thermostats, garage door controls, Z-Wave devices, and Wi-Fi extenders.
• Resolve camera-related issues, such as offline cameras, recording failures, black screens, and unsaved clips.
• Educate customers and assist in setting up applications including ADT Pulse, Alarm.com, ADT+, and Google Home.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework or a degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in technical service is required.
• Strong technical aptitude is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities are required.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently is necessary.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a home security systems technician is highly preferred.
• A private, quiet, and distraction-free workspace that meets company standards is required.
• Sufficient internet bandwidth to perform the job effectively is necessary.
• Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
