Technical Advisor II – Emergency Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical advice, guidance, and support on program design and implementation, with a focus on larger Emergency Health initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of agency-wide Emergency Health strategies, standards, tools, and best practices.

• Ensure the integration of gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction across sectors.

• Deliver remote and on-site technical solutions to regional and Country Program teams.

• Assist in strategic planning and the application of program design, implementation, partnership, monitoring, and evaluation standards.

• Lead or participate in the technical design of large or complex proposals, including monitoring systems and indicators.

• Advise project teams on the incorporation of donor strategies, priorities, and technical requirements.

• Support capacity building through learning strategies, training curricula, workshops, mentoring, and coaching.

• Contribute to knowledge management and learning by analyzing program data, evaluating projects, assessing impact, and sharing lessons learned.

• Build and maintain relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and other partners.

• Engage in Emergency Health forums to gather and disseminate best practices and promote CRS' initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in clinical or public health is required.

• At least eight years of relevant international work experience in an advisory or management capacity with increasing responsibilities.

• A minimum of three years of experience in developing and implementing health-related programs in humanitarian, post-conflict, or low-resource environments.

• Prior experience providing technical assistance and crafting successful proposals for external donor funding is essential.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Proficiency in French is preferred.

• A Master’s Degree in Public Health or a related clinical/public health field is advantageous.

• Competent in MS Office applications, web conferencing tools, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks.

• Experience with Emergency Health technical principles, business development, project design, proposal development, technical writing, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, training, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, data analysis, data presentation, donor networking, and partnership principles.

• Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, systems thinking, relationship management, written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills.

• Ability to influence and garner support from individuals not under direct supervision and to operate in diverse geographical and cultural contexts.

• Legally authorized to work in the location where the position is based.

• Capable of passing the necessary pre-employment medical clearance for roles requiring residence or frequent travel outside of a home country.
