Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical accounting analysis and documentation for intricate and non-standard transactions.

• Evaluate consolidation in accordance with ASC 810, encompassing VIE assessments, primary beneficiary determinations, and voting interest model evaluations.

• Examine revenue recognition under ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, usage-based pricing, and contract modifications.

• Manage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 for data centers, equipment, and build-to-suit arrangements.

• Address construction and capital projects, which include capitalization, impairment, and interest capitalization.

• Assist with business combinations and investments, focusing on purchase accounting and valuation coordination.

• Analyze debt and equity financing transactions, such as convertible instruments, warrants, and embedded features.

• Draft and review technical accounting memoranda and position papers.

• Aid in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including 20-F and 6-K footnotes and disclosures.

• Utilize Workiva, Active Disclosure, and Toppan Merrill Bridge for the preparation and management of SEC filings.

• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Operations on the accounting implications of contracts and strategic initiatives.

• Track and implement new accounting pronouncements.

• Work alongside external auditors and lead discussions regarding technical accounting positions.

• Support SOX compliance and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.

• Streamline financial reporting processes, documentation, and scalability.

• Assist with ad hoc capital markets, M&A, and global expansion projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA designation preferred.

• 7–10 years of experience; experience in a Big 4 or national public accounting firm is required.

• Experience within a public company is strongly preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with significant experience in ASC 606 and ASC 842.

• Proficiency in applying ASC 810 consolidation guidelines, including VIE assessments, identification of variable interests, and primary beneficiary analysis.

• Experience with complex transactions such as M&A, financing arrangements, and capital projects.

• Strong familiarity with SEC reporting and financial statement disclosures.

• Hands-on experience with Workiva, Active Disclosure, or Toppan Merrill Bridge.

• Exceptional technical writing abilities, especially in preparing accounting memos.

• Capability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience in AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, or fast-growing technology companies.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where they apply and provide proof of employment eligibility.

• Familiarity with large-scale infrastructure or hardware-intensive business models is a plus.

• Experience with the NetSuite ERP system is an added advantage.

• Exposure to international operations and multi-entity structures is a bonus.
