Tech Lead Manager – Finance Integrations, Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the integration practice for Finance and ERP, establishing direction, managing simultaneous initiatives, and overseeing supported systems and processes.

• Balance team management with practical technical tasks, such as removing obstacles for the team, reviewing designs and code, and developing intricate integrations, backend services, APIs, and MCPs.

• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and cross-functional teams to convert requirements into integrations, automations, and reporting.

• Mentor and develop engineers and contractors through design reviews, architectural discussions, and career advancement.

• Take charge of the month-end financial integrations and reporting operation, proactively identifying and addressing gaps.

• Investigate the evolving landscape of GenAI, assess new models and techniques, and disseminate insights.

• Lead the hiring process, mentoring, and career development while also contributing personally at a Staff IC level.

• Manage the architecture, delivery, and reliability of ERP and Finance integrations and microservices using Java/Python.

• Transition integrations from Oracle Cloud to Airbnb’s internal platform and enhance the platform for company-wide self-service.

• Design and implement AI-assisted automations and MCP integrations.

• Contribute to organizational priorities, team roadmap, and strategic direction.

• Maintain quality, reliability, and security through code reviews, testing, monitoring, and incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience in building and managing production systems and integrations.

• Proven experience in leading engineers as a manager or tech lead, with a passion for fostering others' career growth.

• In-depth knowledge of ERP products, including Oracle Cloud ERP or similar systems, as well as Finance modules such as R2R, P2P, AP, and AR.

• Strong expertise in Java or Python, particularly in constructing microservices, APIs, and integrations from scratch.

• Experience utilizing AI in development to transition products from prototype to production, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG.

• Proficient in relational databases and SQL.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence without formal authority.

• Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences.

• Preferred: practical experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), OCI/PaaS, and Oracle reporting.

• Preferred: experience in developing AI agents and MCPs, ideally using Claude.
