Tech Lead – Java, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assume technical leadership for the creation and ongoing development of essential web applications for the business.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services along with application integrations utilizing Java.

• Engage directly with Elasticsearch within a production setting, which includes the design, implementation, and evaluation of search-related solutions.

• Contribute to frontend development utilizing Angular and conduct comprehensive code reviews to guarantee quality and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Snowflake, SQL, and various data sources to enhance application functionality and data integration.

• Serve as a principal technical reviewer for Java and Elasticsearch solutions while promoting high-quality engineering practices within the team.

• Participate in architectural and technical decision-making processes at the application level.

• Work closely with software engineers, data teams, product stakeholders, and other technical teams.

• Promote best practices regarding code quality, testing, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Mentor and assist fellow engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

• Identify potential technical risks and suggest practical, scalable solutions.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development processes and engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with a background in a senior or technical leadership capacity.

• Strong, hands-on proficiency in Java and backend application development.

• Demonstrated, recent experience utilizing Elasticsearch in a production environment.

• Solid practical knowledge of Angular, including the capability to develop and confidently review frontend code.

• Extensive experience with SQL and practical familiarity with Snowflake.

• Experience engaging with multiple systems, APIs, and application integrations.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, and software engineering best practices.

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and version control systems.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

• Capacity to balance hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities.

• Proficient command of English.
