Senior Product Engineer, Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of intricate product features from inception to completion, encompassing problem identification, solution development, implementation, launch, and ongoing refinement.

• Collaborate closely with the product team to define the construction of features, challenge existing assumptions, and transform vague issues into exceptional product experiences.

• Develop sleek, responsive product experiences utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Create and refine interactions through coding, design tools, and AI technologies.

• Enhance interaction quality, motion, responsiveness, loading states, transitions, and microinteractions.

• Construct and advance reusable frontend components and the overarching design system.

• Recognize and enhance current product experiences.

• Uphold high standards for performance, accessibility, reliability, and frontend engineering excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing high-quality, customer-facing web products.

• Profound knowledge of React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and web browser technologies.

• Proven history of taking ownership and delivering complex product features from start to finish.

• Strong judgment in product and user experience (UX).

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience in creating sophisticated animations and interactive user interfaces.

• Solid understanding of contemporary frontend engineering practices.

• Capability to convert ambiguous product challenges into clear solutions.

• Demonstrated ownership mentality.

• Keen desire to influence product development.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment while managing multiple issues simultaneously.

• Clear and proactive communication skills in a distributed team setting.

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, browser APIs, and modern frontend architecture.

• Experience in developing responsive, high-performance web applications.

• Familiarity with animation and interaction libraries alongside complex UI transitions.

• Experience in creating reusable component systems and frontend abstractions.

• Strong knowledge of frontend performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
