Software Engineer – Internal Tools & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and improve internal applications and services utilizing Python along with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Execute specific requirements stemming from daily business operations.

• Collaborate with business departments to comprehend and organize business requirements.

• Create practical technical solutions, prototypes, and minimum viable products (MVPs).

• Spot opportunities for automation and enhancement.

• Integrate existing systems through APIs, databases, and interfaces.

• Transition prototypes into stable and maintainable solutions.

• Work with the Technical Team and Core Platform Team on architectural inquiries and integrations.

• Guarantee solution quality by producing clean, testable code, automated tests, and clear technical documentation.

• Utilize modern AI tools effectively to support development tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in software development.

• Proven ability to work independently on applications, tools, or automation projects.

• Strong knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Basic comprehension of APIs, databases, and essential software architectures.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development methodologies.

• Understanding of clean, maintainable, and testable code practices.

• Initial experience with CI/CD, automated testing, or Docker is advantageous.

• Interest in the business environment and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A curious mindset, eagerness to learn, and receptiveness to feedback.

• Experience utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar applications in everyday development, or a willingness to learn to use them effectively and responsibly.

• Proficiency in German at a minimum of B2 level.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level.
