Tech Lead – Digital Banking Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy for various Agile product teams focused on delivering digital banking solutions for customers.

• Act as the main technical consultant for engineering managers, architects, product leaders, and delivery teams.

• Propel the delivery of scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available banking solutions.

• Direct the development of technical roadmaps, platform advancements, and modernization efforts.

• Conduct architecture, design, and code evaluations.

• Mentor engineers while promoting engineering ownership and responsibility.

• Address complex technical issues that span multiple domains and teams.

• Advocate for API-first, event-driven, and domain-oriented architectures.

• Create microservices-based solutions and integration strategies.

• Define target-state capabilities across identity, customer onboarding, customer profiles, payments, notifications, entitlements, and digital interactions.

• Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to set long-term platform standards.

• Foster the adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and SRE practices.

• Establish engineering metrics that emphasize quality, stability, velocity, and customer outcomes.

• Enhance reliability, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 12 years in Technical roles related to Application Development, Server Administration, Information Security, or Engineering.

• Preferred: 10+ years of software engineering experience.

• Preferred: Over 5 years of technical leadership experience in banking, fintech, payments, or regulated industries.

• Preferred: Experience in modernizing large-scale customer-facing digital platforms.

• Preferred: Strong communication skills and experience managing executive stakeholders.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.

• Proficiency in ReactJS, React Native, TypeScript, and Microfrontends.

• Knowledge of native mobile development practices and SDK integrations.

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and Microservices.

• Understanding of Kafka and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and DevSecOps.

• Knowledge of identity and access management (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).

• Experience with observability, OpenTelemetry, SRE, and platform reliability.
