📋 Description

• Analyze and categorize findings from Snyk Open Source, Snyk Code, Snyk Container, and Snyk IaC.

• Assess findings based on severity, exploitability, and exposure in line with remediation SLAs, and manage them through Jira.

• Address vulnerabilities in applications developed with Ruby, Python, and .NET, including performing dependency upgrades, fixing first-party code, updating container base images, and correcting infrastructure as code.

• Validate changes and implement unit and integration tests as necessary.

• Submit pull requests that document discoveries, modifications, and verification, while also addressing feedback from senior engineers.

• Draft risk-accept or ignore recommendations with clear rationales.

• Oversee Snyk projects, Jira tickets, and the status of remediation efforts.

• Elevate issues that necessitate significant upgrades, architectural modifications, or cross-team collaboration.

• Engage in stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Record recurring fixes for future reference.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or one to two years of software development experience or equivalent training.

• Practical experience in developing applications using at least one of Ruby, Python, or C#/.NET, with a willingness to work across all three languages.

• Knowledge of dependency management tools (Bundler/RubyGems, pip, NuGet) and an understanding of version-upgrade breaking changes.

• Proficient in Git and pull request workflows.

• Familiarity with relational databases and basic knowledge of containerization and cloud concepts (Docker, AWS).

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Capability to write basic unit tests.

• Ability to carefully navigate unfamiliar code and implement small, well-tested changes.

• Proficient in English with strong written communication skills.

• Willingness to work US time zone hours within a dynamic, agile team environment.
