Tech Lead, Development and Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead technical initiatives for development and data teams.

• Guide decisions regarding architecture, engineering, and implementation.

• Create and advance web applications utilizing Node.js, JavaScript/ES6+, and TypeScript.

• Build and sustain frontend applications using React and/or Angular.

• Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Design and refine microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Collaborate with relational and NoSQL databases, focusing on data modeling, SQL, and query optimization.

• Define and execute solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment.

• Engage with cloud-native and serverless architectures.

• Implement and enhance CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, and Azure Pipelines.

• Utilize Git, manage branching, perform Pull Requests, and conduct Code Reviews.

• Advocate for automated testing, observability, logging, metrics, monitoring, and tracing.

• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing.

• Define and advance data strategies and architectures, including pipelines, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, governance, and quality.

• Support architectural standards, technical documentation, and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).

• Assess new technologies and propose innovative, efficient, and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate in Scrum and Kanban methodologies, supporting planning, prioritization, and delivery tracking.

• Foster mentoring, technical development, knowledge sharing, and team growth.

• Interface with technical and business stakeholders, transforming requirements into sustainable solutions.

• Uphold security, DevSecOps, governance, compliance, and FinOps practices.

• Take part in architectural, technical prioritization, risk assessment, trade-off, and technology evolution discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Lead, or Senior Software Engineer.

• Proven track record of providing technical leadership to software development and/or data teams and projects.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+), including TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Express.js and/or Fastify.

• Solid experience with React.js and/or Angular, emphasizing component architecture and state management using Redux, MobX, or similar solutions.

• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including authentication, authorization, security, and integrations.

• Proficient in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, with skills in data modeling, advanced SQL, indexing, relationships, and query optimization.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Understanding of application scalability, high availability, resilience, and security.

• Strong command of Git, including branching, Pull Requests, and Code Review.

• Familiarity with SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.

• Experience with CI/CD, build automation, testing, and deployments.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its core services.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, and Azure Pipelines.

• Proficient in unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.

• Understanding of observability, logging, metrics, and monitoring.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and/or Azure Service Bus.

• Experience or knowledge in Data Engineering and Data Architecture.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, data governance, and data quality.

• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methodologies.

• Excellent communication, leadership, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.

• Ability to address complex problems and analyze architectural trade-offs.

• Preferred qualifications: advanced Azure expertise, serverless/cloud-native architectures, AWS/GCP knowledge, FinOps, DevSecOps, cloud security, governance, ADRs, advanced observability, modern data platforms, AI/Machine Learning/GenAI, and relevant certifications.
