📋 Description

• Take ownership of key components within the platform layer of GraphAware Hume, a graph-powered analytics solution.

• Offer technical leadership regarding graph architecture throughout the organization.

• Proactively identify potential product-level issues before they arise.

• Monitor, assess, and test new Neo4j features and ecosystem tools against actual workloads.

• Discover product opportunities and strategize scalable Neo4j migrations.

• Lead the architecture for modeling, querying, and scaling knowledge graphs.

• Establish technical direction for foundational platform elements and cross-functional design choices.

• Enhance Cypher queries and graph access patterns for latency, throughput, and scalability.

• Guide engineers and elevate the team’s technical standards without formal management authority.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to transform product objectives into scalable technical roadmaps.

• Design secure and scalable access-control systems for mission-critical environments.

• Develop APIs for seamless interaction with complex data.

• Coordinate workflows to automate graph analytics, inference, and real-time insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on Neo4j expertise, including advanced techniques for Cypher query performance optimization, profiling, and familiarity with GDS, APOC, and drivers.

• Experience in modeling real-world domains as property graphs.

• Proven history of leading architectural and technical direction for a team or product domain.

• Demonstrated capability to build consensus across engineering teams for significant architectural modifications.

• Over 8 years of experience in backend systems.

• Proficient in Java or possess a strong JVM background applicable to a Java codebase.

• Understanding of Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Advanced skills in debugging and profiling techniques.

• Ability to produce composable, maintainable, and testable code.

• Experience with Spring or comparable frameworks for secure, modular, and scalable APIs.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated deployment processes.

• Practical knowledge of secure software design and common vulnerabilities such as OWASP.

• Comfort in collaborating with remote teams and engaging in asynchronous communication.

• This role is targeted at candidates located in the UK, Czechia, or Italy.

• Bonus points for familiarity with PostgreSQL, knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, LangChain, LlamaIndex, graph algorithms, Kafka, distributed systems, schema refactoring, migrations, versioning, observability, and performance tuning.
