Tech Lead – AWS Integration Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of integration solutions and domain services based on AWS.

• Establish integration architectures, patterns, standards, and reusable frameworks.

• Assess solution designs to ensure they align with enterprise architecture and integration principles.

• Provide technical guidance for intricate integration initiatives and project executions.

• Maintain scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational excellence.

• Lead the development and maintenance of AWS integration services utilizing Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and other related services.

• Promote the adoption of event-driven architecture and integration patterns based on microservices.

• Set best practices for API lifecycle management, service orchestration, and asynchronous integrations.

• Define CI/CD standards, deployment strategies, release processes, and operational controls.

• Ensure that integration services comply with security, compliance, and audit requirements.

• Mentor integration engineers and developers on AWS technologies and integration best practices.

• Provide technical coaching throughout design, development, testing, and production support phases.

• Foster knowledge sharing, enhance technical capabilities, and promote engineering excellence within the integration community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with monitoring, observability, and cloud operations using CloudWatch and other AWS tools.

• Over 8 years of experience in Integration, API Management, and Enterprise Application Integration.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions.

• Proficient in Python and Go programming languages.

• A minimum of three years of experience with Go.

• Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership across teams and large-scale integration projects.

• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, Serverless platforms, CI/CD, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.

• Strong grasp of enterprise integration governance, standards, and API lifecycle management.

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication abilities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
